Old Dirt - New Thoughts :: New Site

Old Dirt - New Thoughts

It's been a while since we heard from archaeologist Brian Hoffman on his Old Dirt - New Thoughts blog, but over the course of the past month or so, new posts have appeared, and moreover, his blog has moved to the Wordpress platform - apparently due in no small part to the fact that his previous blog hosts had begun inserting what he considered inappropriate advertising into his posts.

The current focus of his work in Alaska is Aniakchak, and this article, 'Ivory Buckle - A Work In Progress?' makes for a particularly interesting read, whilst another post, '2000 Years On The King Salmon River' alerts readers to a study he has had published in
Occasional Papers in Alaskan Field Archeology by The Bureau of Indian Affairs - readers wishing to obtain a copy while stocks last are advised how to do so in the course of the post.
