Four Stone Hearth 41 - call for submissions and future hosts

Although the next edition of the Four Stone Hearth anthropology blog carnival was due to be hosted at Our Cultural World, it appears that the site has sadly undergone an extinction event, and to that effect I offered to step in and cover for 4SH 41.

However the idea of a blog carnival is that it should be hosted across a multitude of sites, rather than me or anyone else running back-to-back carnivals due to a shortage of hosts - so if you have the time and inclination, please offer to host a future event - spots are open from July 2nd onwards, after Neuoroanthropology and Paddy K's Swedish Extravaganza have hosted on June 4th and 18th respectively.

So if you run an anthro-related blog and are up for hosting, please volunteer and help keep this blog carnival up and running - you don't need to be a professional anthropologist as such, as someone with a keen interest is equally capable of assembling a series of anthropology based articles complete with links, and an optional commentary. Here's the official guideline bit...

The Fourth Stone Hearth is a blog carnival that specializes in anthropology in the widest (American) sense of that word. Here, anthropology is the study of humankind, throughout all times and places, focussing primarily on four lines of research:

  • archaeology
  • socio-cultural anthropology
  • bio-physical anthropology
  • linguistic anthropology

Each one of these subfields is a stone in our hearth.

In the meantime, if you have anything you consider worthy of inclusion for next week's Four Stone Hearth, due out Wednesday May 21st, please either submit them to me: timjonzi AT g mail DOT com, or by hitting this submit link which will ferry your submissions through the appropriate channels.
